YX-NH3-N-E Ammonia Nitrogen Online Automatic Analyzer adopted the mature ammonia gas sensing electrode technology, can measure the content of ammonia nitrogen in water samples, and have the high cost performance and easy to maintenance. It is widely used to monitor the amount of ammonia nitrogen in surface waters (lakes, rivers, reservoirs, etc.) and sewage.
Working Principle
Monitor the content of the ammonia gas in water samples by ammonia gas sensing electrode. Water sample and standard solution injected into the electrode reaction pool by the eight way valve and injection pump, and then NaOH and EDTA reagent injected into the electrode reaction pool by the eight way valve and injection pump, adjusting the pH to more than 12, and avoiding the precipitation of calcium salts; Ensure the liquid in electrode reaction pool are mixed fully by the magnetic stirrer when the reagent added into the pool; When the pH more than 12, the free ammonia and ammonium ion will be charged into ammonia in the samples, and the penetration of ammonia through the thin film of ammonia gas sensing electrode will make the pH value larger of electrode’s liquid.
According to variation of the internal pH electrode potential, the concentration of ammonia nitrogen in the samples will be calculated by the Nernst formula.
