YX-TOC Total Organic Carbon On-line Automatic Analyzer is the patent product independently researched and developed by Univerdstar. It takes worlds’ leading dual wavelength ultraviolet oxidation technology to measure the concentration of total organic carbon in the water sample.

Working Principal

Adding small amounts of acids to acidification in the samples, and ventilate to transfer inorganic carbon into carbon dioxide that it can be removed from the samples. Then, put the sample into the combustion tube in which it is filled with oxidation catalyst, and heating to 680 degree Celsius. The organic matters are oxidized to carbon dioxide in the samples, and the carbon dioxide will be introduced into the non-dispersive infrared analyzer to measure the concentration by carrier gas. Before the gas entre the NDIR, the carrier gas which contained the carbon dioxide will be disposed for cooling, dehumidification, halogen absorption. Through calculate the peak area of carbon dioxide’s concentration to get content of TOC.
