System Overview

Atmospheric Mercury and Its Compounds Online Monitoring System adopts cold atomic fluorescence spectrophotometry. The system is mainly used to discontinuously and continuously measure the concentration of mercury and its compounds in the ambient air, to observe and analyze the influence to the ambient air caused by the changes, to determine whether or not the mercury and its compounds are accord with national requirements, which all provide the basis for ambient air quality status assessment.

System Principle

The system consists of sampling module, mercury analysis module and software platform module.

In acidic medium, uses sulfhydryl cotton to enrich the mercury and its compounds in ambient air.

When mercury element goes through sulfhydryl cotton sample tube, it is mainly for physical adsorbent and chemical adsorption of monolayer.

After sampling, using 4.0mol/L HCL-sodium chloride saturated solution to desorb total mercury, and by stannous chloride reduction to metallic mercury, and then it uses the cold atomic fluorescence mercury meter to determine the total mercury content.
