Working Principle
In acidic conditions, the product obtained after the chloride in the water sample reacts with mercuric thiocyanate then reacts with the ferric ions of ferric nitrate to form a red ferricthiocyanate complex compound; measures the absorbance value under 620nm and calculates the concentration of chlorine ions in the water.
